A character might begin as a sketch for a campaign. Then it becomes an animation, A social personality, Packaging, Merchandise, A recurring story, or maybe you only need a ten-second spot. All are worth doing well. We build around what the project needs today while leaving room for what it could become tomorrow.

Finger wrote Batman's first story and contributed to foundational parts of the character's world, yet his role was hidden from the public eye for decades. DC now formally recognizes Bill Finger’s contributions but the creative lesson is simple:
